How to use the internet.

I love the internet. I wouldn't have this blog otherwise. But I also want to figure out a way to responsibly use the internet. ANd I don't mean it in a grown up way. Maybe I do. I'm turning thirty soon anyway.

These are the things I hate about the way I use the internet now

• I doomscroll way too much. I want to stop that.
• I want to choose when to come online, instead of constantly waiting for texts.

Option one: Disabling my internet.

I don't want to be another digital Thoreau. Remember what happened to that kid who went to live in alaska? Yeah, I don't want to be that guy. Here are the things I want to do.

• Read more books
• Write more stuff like this
• Maybe code more

But the internet is distracting me from doing all that. Here's my preferred solution.

Polling

Unlike human beings, most avian species process the world differently (duh they're a different species after all).

We have eyes that adapt to our surroundings rapidly as we walk around, to process visual information. But for birds, they bob their necks back and forth as they move, as and when they finished procesing the previous visual output.

I want to be an internet bird. A free bird. And here's how I'm planning to bob.
